In 1996, Norman took a leap into pest control, joining Larcon Pest Control, a company that held contracts with the National Environment Agency (NEA). After Larcon ceased operations in 1997, Norman became part of the first batch of professionals to establish Pest Xpress, one of the early pioneers in modern pest management in Singapore.

By 1998, he had completed all NEA-accredited training courses, earning his full pest control license by 2000. His first major assignment? A large-scale treatment at Golden Landmark hotel, where he received his first project payout of $850—a humble but meaningful start that paved the way for decades of experience.
